This Wall Scrawl took a year to get up again after renovations. We’ve placed it in the pantry which is a walk through from the kitchen. Being right opposite the pantry, it’s in a handy place for a shop list to jot down items as you use them. This one is a double layer Wall Scrawl, 500mm x 1000mm which means that a printed layer can be inserted between the two layers and can be changed over as we please. A printed layer can be a grid, a graphic, a colour, a calendar – whatever I think up. It will definitely have colour as this is a pretty white house at the moment. It will feature regularly in my posts to show the many uses of a Wall Scrawl.

500mm x 1000mm:

Single Layer: $350 + gst, Double Layer: $530 + gst.

Here it is directly opposite the pantry.

Julian @ Headland Machinery sent through an image of their installed Wall Scrawls. This order was delivered in 7 days, the day before an important meeting. Everything had to go right for this to work from suppliers, via us, through to freight company to land at Headland Machinery within a week. Wouldn’t commit to it but made every effort to deliver and am thankful that all concerned did their bit to ensure we could achieve in time.

So here’s the final pic, 3 Wall Scrawls went up … 2 off 2000 x 1500mm, 1 off 1000mm x 1500mm with bottom right justified Headland logo in pms grey 430. Click here for the full project.

Although online shopping will apply across the Decently Exposed range of products, Wall Scrawl will be one of the first products to be uploaded to our online shop because it is a ready made product. It is also my baby and although it may appear that I have been neglectful, behind the scenes I have not, as time has been usurped in building this new website. My attention now turns to the shop and the main point of it is to get creative with what we do. We love what we do for others but sometimes our own creativity is dispensed and left unexpressed and a little frustration creeps into this process because you become so consumed by delivering the needs of your clients that it leaves little time to develop other areas of the business. Our products will relate to what we do right now, expanding on the graphic edge of signage, Wall Scrawl, printed bags and of course our flagship product, AutoSkin.

So get ready to go shopping. And if you have any ideas of what you would like to see in our shop, we welcome those too. To start … recycled theatre banners bags for grocery shopping – I have been using these for years as they are super sturdy, can pack a few kilos, look great, and are durable, Wall Scrawls, printed layers for Wall Scrawls, signage (lots of ideas here will take time to fruit) and AutoSkin.

We are often asked if our Wall Scrawls are magnetic. Alas, no. Perspex unless impregnated with a magnetic source (think perspex frameless picture frames – 2 layers of perspex held together at all four corners with magnetics) is in no way magnetic on its own. The custom made Magnetic Wall looks perfect for those who want a stylish magnetic backdrop for all manner of things. Check out their recent installations for a modelling agency on their website (see top left side panel). Such perfect organisation but could also be perfect as a photo wall for our ever growing digi shots. I reckon it will turn up on an ABC cold case crime show like Waking the Dead with dismembered bodies plastered all over it. The galvanised option would be good for this. The grungier the better. Mind you at the moment they use a glass memoboard and really thick opaque white markers. Love it!

The problem is that the Magnetic Wall only ships to NYC and environs. Geez and our dollar would make this a perfect export at the moment.

Rory at Commonwealth Serum Laboratories (CSL) came to us a while ago wanting a few different options for CSL’s Wall Scrawls, namely an attendance planner, a general memoboard and some signage for the wall space in their main thoroughfare. We developed their artwork utilizing the CSL style guide and Rory’s specific information for content. A bit like Cricket Australia they have utilized the wall space in a passageway area for high visibility and usability It was great to use colour for the content boxes on the Attendance Planner which also add an aesthetic to a highly functional board. Colour as well as bottom right logo placement was used to produce all three Wall Scrawls.
