That Brett Coelho has appeared on Inhabitat’s blog is an admirable feat for an Aussie in itself, but why not, take a look at what Brett created from humble street signage and found objects. Elevating it to art status. Its appeal is that it has everyday familiarity for all of us, combining colour, text, nostalgia and formed from ever durable metal. The results are striking not unlike what Rosalie Gascoigne was able to produce with the similar base materials. Check out some images of Rosalie’s work here. Her works were exhibited by NGV at Federation Square at the end of 2008/9 which we were lucky enough to attend with our children.
